Network Assessments
Dox Electronics, Inc. has core proficiencies in evaluating network infrastructure performance on both local area networks (LANs,) wide area networks (WANs) and Internet connections. Primary objectives are to determine the level of utilization of the network infrastructure and the efficiency of the network design and layout. In addition, stability shortcomings may also be noted.
Generally, network assessments might address any or all of the following items:
- Compliance (status/issues).
- HIPAA
- Sarbanes-Oxley
- SEC Rule 17a-4
- GLBA
- Network & Application slowdowns.
- Poor performance.
- Condition and configuration of the central switching & routing equipment.
- Impact of older network equipment.
- Review of the overall network design. This would include hardware specifications, segmentation, and topology characteristics.
- Review of failover design and processes.
- Review of outage logs and change-control logs.
